The time from when I first decided to make one of these as a speculative project to the time I finished designing and building it spans about 6 years. It cost me many good night's sleep designing it in my head, emptied by bank account, and precipitated a minor mid-life crisis. I'm both mentally and emotionally a bit exhausted.
