I wanted a real moss ball but this is a newer fish with some fin rot and has aquarium salt in the tank. I hesitated buying this bc, it looks fake… bc, it is fake. However, it did clear up cloudiness in the tank. No aquarium smell. & most importantly, the fish that looks dead in the picture, is actually sleeping. He’s slept there every night since it was placed in the tank. The first night he slept on top of it bc it took about 24 hours to sink. The second night, I completely thought he was dead. Nope! He’s alive and cuddles up there every night to sleep. I’m really happy I purchased this for him bc I truly believe he likes it.
