Lionel PA-1 AA New Haven

Hello again!

In this video the Lionel New Haven PA-1 AA and Weaver I5 Hudson are pulling two sets of the MTH Premier passenger cars!

What I love about this is that it’s not atypical of the New Haven to mix and match different types and paint schemes of passenger cars, and this is a healthy mix of different schemes and types which the New Haven operated.

The PA-1 AA set is new to me, and is only my second locomotive in the McGinnis scheme; they are absolutely gorgeous, and the video doesn’t do them justice!

The Weaver I5 Hudson might be my favorite locomotive. I have Big Boys, a Challenger, and a few other interesting locomotives and while I love those, the New Haven railroad has become an area of focus for me, both because of locale and interesting history.

This I5 came to me needing mechanical and electrical TLC. After the Protosound 3 upgrade with fan-driven smoke, this locomotive came to life in a really great way, and I love running this with the matching Weaver Pullman-Bradley passenger cars as a set! But seeing as I only have three of them, that won’t make for a terribly interesting video…yet ;).
