Though this is a digital keyboard it has analog elements, such as an analog chorus and filtering. Casio printed PCM right on its case, but that is only partly true. The drums are great lo-fi PCM samples but the polyphonic instruments are Casio's vowel consonant synthesis (I suspect). I think the drums are a step up from the MT-500, even if they are lower fidelity.
