Bihar Election 2025: Bihar Elections Phase 2 Records Faster Voter Turnout Than First Phase

Bihar appears poised to set another turnout record. Voting in second phase of 2025 assembly elections is progressing even faster than first phase. By 1 pm, voting across 122 constituencies in 20 districts stood at 47.62% compared with 42.31% recorded at the same time during first phase. The brisk pace has prompted expectations that Bihar could surpass its own turnout. In the first phase, held on 6 November, the state registered a total turnout of 65.08% across 121 seats in 18 districts. This was the highest ever voter turnout recorded in any assembly or Lok Sabha election in the state.
