Courtois 305 Elite Trumpet - ACB Show & Tell - Medium Heavy Trumpet With a Great Sound

[Link in description] It's a shame that they're not making these anymore, because the Courtois 305 Elite trumpets are pretty awesome! The Elite series trumpets have some heft to them, but aren't nearly as heavy as their jazz soloist focused Evolution series. The 305 is the model Sergei Nakariakov played while he was a Courtois artist.

The 305 has some unique features. Check out the bend of the bell bead. The bell taper is fairly compact until a nice quick flare. You also get the stability of the dual brace tuning slide. The main water key is a traditional lever-style design. The third valve slide doesn't have a water key, instead it has a spring-loaded slide stop that makes it very quick and easy to pull the slide and dump out any accumulated liquids.

This is a versatile horn that's easy to play. Response is great in all registers, and articulation is crisp and clean. Player feedback behind the horn is great. It's a touch heavy for my taste, but if you're looking for a little extra weight in a fairly standard looking design this might be a plus for you. It has some zip in the upper register as well.
