Описание к видео Quenching Mumbai's Thirst - MCGM Underground Water Tunnel

Quenching the thirst of the enormously growing population of Mumbai by creating India’s deepest and longest water tunnel, MCGM Underground Tunnel aims to bridge the gap in water demand and supply in Mumbai to the tune of 4000-4500 MLD.

The result is a 8.3 km-long, 6.25m dia, 125m deep underground tunnel from Kapurbawdi (K2) to Bhandup. Also this complete Gundavali-Bhandup tunnel with finished dia. of 5.50 m & total length of 15.6 km is the Asia’s biggest tunnel to be constructed for potable water supply.

Despite the challenging strata, IVRCL set new records for tunnel boring work in India with this project.
