Austin Monthly‘s third annual Burger Bash was a smashing success! More than 1,250 guests came to our sold-out festival at Central Machine Works on June 14 to sample burger bites from more than 20 local restaurants. In addition to all the beef, attendees enjoyed complimentary perks like fries from JABS, ice cream from Lick Honest Ice Creams, wine tastings from Priest Ranch Winery, beverages from Topo Chico and Bloom Nutrition, and beard lineups and cold towel facials from Scruff’s Barbershop. They could also craft their own barbecue spice rub at the Beef Loving Texans booth and learn how to line dance with Country Fried Dance. To beat the heat, guests hung out in the covered Whole Earth Provision Co. lounge and dipped their feet into a pool from Cowboy Pools. At the end of the festival, JABS took home not one but two Golden Hamburger awards, winning both the judges’ pick and the people’s choice award.
