Len Hunter reminisces about his involvement with developing Pine O’ Cleen almost 84 years ago. Len discusses how a product’s perfume was really important and pine was a lovely, fresh fragrance that resonated well with people. In the Pine O’Cleen development process, the consistency was not right & Len & his dad worked on the formula for 3 – 4 months before achieving success. How? It involved a curious cockatoo who spilt a bottle of methylated spirits which became the saviour for binding soap content with antiseptic content & literally making Pine O’ Cleen sparkle.
