Michele Nobler - The Seaman

I am playing "The Seaman", the focus song of my entire piano album "Glass Boxes", inside the Cathedral of San Leopardo in Osimo (Marche, Italy). Images of the sea and the beach which inspire the song also appear.
"The Seaman" is a very calm peaceful melody which suits for meditation and background music for other activities that increase concentration and relaxation.
About the album title "Glass Boxes", it is intended as a metaphor for feelings that can be seen and felt but not touched. This inspired the basic idea for the album pieces of music, which range between different moods and also between different writing styles.
I imagined glass houses on the bed of the sea, when the tide goes out and gives way to the big beach.
Inside the houses, people live, but are sometimes prisoners when the tide rises. They can only go out when the sea is low...
And so are their emotions.
