After Bill’s wife and co-owner, Judy Edwards, visited a colon hydrotherapist for treatment, she was amazed to learn that she needed to have her knees 35 degrees above her waist when using the bathroom to relax the anal rectal angle and maintain a health colon.

The Edwards family noted that while modern, Western conventional toilets were popular, they were not at all functional for humankind.

They recognized an opportunity to create an innovative small business. They applied their entrepreneurial skills, business savvy and resourcefulness to craft a product to not only improve their own health, but the health of others.

Thus, Squatty Potty was born – returning humankind back to the evolutionarily, healthier way to maintain colon health.
