Crisis City - Sega Genesis Remix (VERSION 2)

Youtube recommended me some of my older remixes lately, and I stumbled upon the remix that started it all on this channel: my Crisis City remix. I still enjoy that version, but I knew I could do better. Armed with a much better tracker program and over a year and a half of experience, I created this. I'll be honest, the difference is noticeable and I am much happier with this version. Hopefully you guys agree! I might do this sort of revisiting my old work in the future now that I am more comfortable with the remix process. Let me know if you guys would like to see that!

Gameplay by me, running on Xenia using my actual copy of Sonic 06. I know I could have used Project 06, but I wanted the genuine Sonic 06 experience here. Notice how none of the deaths were my fault and were just me trying to play the game. That last section SUCKED, did you see how many times I got hit by some random physics object and I flew off after an automated segment?? I think I got a B rank because of all of the stupid deaths. Anyways, rant over. Enjoy my suffering.

This was done from scratch using Furnace, and VGM2TFI to get the instruments from Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I then modify said instruments to my needs. I used Corrscope for the oscilloscope view of the audio channels, and Aseprite for all of the sprite editing/spritework. I sampled the drums from the original, using LALAL.AI.
