Largest lava field on the Planet, Þjórsárhraun

This lava field named, Þjórsárhraun is the single largest lava field produced on the planet in the last 10.000 years and the crazy thing is that it was produced by a single eruption.
This monumental event took place around 8700 years ago in Iceland's highlands. It's really hard to imagine what this kind of an eruption would look like. But let's check out some of its stats.
