Callum Monaghan wanted to be a civil servant since he was at school. He is really passionate about public service and using the skills he picked up during his time studying BA (Hons) Creative Writing at LJMU to contribute in some way to make a difference. After graduating, that’s where he set his sights. It wasn't until after he’d joined the service that he realised how many opportunities there were for him to continue his writing. After a few months finding his feet, Cal joined a Communications team and found a really clear career path with the Government Communications Service.
