(FICTIONAL) Garuda Indonesian Airlines Flight 055 (CFIT due to pilot error) July 7, 2007

Garuda Indonesian Airlines Was an scheduled domestic flight from Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia, the plane left South Sulawesi at approximately 10:00 AM Central Indonesia Time with 77 people on board.


Out of the 77 on board, 12 people survived the crash. 55 Y/O Captain Ahmad Budiwati Bagaskoro (1952-2007) he had 19,000 flight hours on the 737-341, 33 Y/O First Officer Banyu Ade Cahya (1974-2007) he had 16,000 hours on the 737-341.

On July 7th, 2007, a 737-341 crashed in the Gunung Pohen in Bali, Indonesia, out of the 77 people on board only 12 survived the crash, the summary was CFIT due to navigational error according to investigators, the planes WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) was malfunctioning, the plane had this problem since 2005, Garuda Indonesia maintenance team tried to fix it, but made it worse according to investigators. the pilots thought that they were at there destination, but they crash in a forest.
