Raw Sessions: Grateful Riddim (Live)

Описание к видео Raw Sessions: Grateful Riddim (Live)

Hey everyone!

This week's piece is really special. "Grateful Riddim" is a tribute to the artists who've shaped me into the reggae musician I am today. Last weekend, I played a gig and had the incredible experience of seeing Prince Fatty and Horseman live. Their energy and vibes inspired me to write this tune.

There are countless names that deserve a shoutout, and though I couldn't name them all, their influence flows through this song. I wrote "Grateful Riddim" this morning, and I just had to share it with you today. This is also the first video I'm making in my new house! There's still so much to decorate and set up, but the essentials are all here – especially my music gear.

I'll drop the lyrics and a list of the references below. If you see a name you don't recognize, I highly recommend checking out their music. Their sounds have been an absolute blessing

Thank you for being on this journey with me. Your support means the world. Don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and share if you enjoyed this one.

All the love,

Lyrics:

Big up, big up to Fatty and Horseman
For all the music and all the inspiration,
For all these creations ,
Spreading around the good vibrations.

I love the steppas style from Mark in Iration,
And a VJ magic from Buju Banton,
Always singing with a smile like Groundation.
Thanks to all of you, I’ve found my passion.

Give thanks to Scientist
And Tubby's style,
I've been vibing with Kamoze and Marley for a while,
Burning all the evil,
I Learned to love with my people.

Doy las gracias a Jah9 y Hempress Sativa,
Que por la vida siempre su música me activa,
Nuff love for Capleton,
For making reggae music the better destination.

I found my way
With a couple of tracks I've heard from Protoje,
I got my health advice from the legend Macka B
I got my confidence from Alborosie and all The Marley family.

I learned my runs from Lila Iké,
I learned determination from Sister Nancy
,Bam bam,
I always keep it with me,
International loving like Mo Kalamity.

I got my brass line from Dizraeli,
Got a proper head bop from Skarra Mucci,
I always keep a record of Chronixx with me,
I wish I was as experienced as Barrington Levy.

Night Nurse on repeat by Gregory,
take on struggles with a smile thanks to Fakoly,
Lutan Fyah and Horace Andy,
I keep Mad Professor's dubbing with me.

I learned to be stubborn like Yellowman,
That nothing in the world is gonna keep us down,
Every Sunday 1 Xtra is my plan,
To discover new music thanks to Rodigan.

Eternally grateful for reggae music.
