AJ Galante on Danbury Trashers, Prison Time & Racing to Get Drake a Jersey in 24 Hours

As a teenager, AJ Galante was the youngest person to ever be president of a professional ice hockey team. Purchased by his father, James Galante, the team was called the Danbury Trashers. After AJ’s father gets swept up in a federal indictment and sentenced to years in Federal prison, the team is disbanded and AJ is forced to navigate life without his father and reinvent himself. In this episode we dive into the epic rise and fall of the Danbury Trashers, what it was like for AJ to visit his father in prison, and what it’s like to reinvent yourself after failure.
