Lake Maggiore (or Lago Maggiore in Italian) is a large lake in North Italy. Part of the Lake is Swiss with the city of Locarno. The lake is part of the Southern Alps. Lake Maggiore is the second biggest lake of Italy after the Garda Lake. Lake Maggiore is 65 kilometers long stretching from Arona (Italy) to Locarno (Switzerland).
