Acura RL Big Brakes - Caliper Restoration/Rebuild - Track CB7 Build EP. 4 - 92 Honda Accord

Getting these Acura RL big brake calipers ready for paint. I went trough and resurfaced the outside of the calipers with a wire wheel to give the paint a good base to adhere to. I then shaved down the Acura logo on the face of the caliper with a sanding barrel. Once all of the messy things were done I cleaned the calipers off and rebuilt the calipers using a vehicle specific caliper rebuild kit. I replaced the inside square cut gaskets and the dust boots.

If you are interested in converting your CB7 or CD5 over to the RL big brakes you will need.

-05+ Acura RL Calipers and pads
-Fat Four Customs or Fast brakes caliper mounting brackets.
-06 350Z (w/ Brembos) rotors [note: you will need to expand the center bore to 70.3mm to fit Odyssey knuckles]
-I highly recommend planning to run a 17" wheel to clear the calipers
-The RL calipers use bubble flare fittings as opposed to the typical double flare brake lines, so I would recommend getting custom brake hoses made.
