2023 Maruti Suzuki Invicto First Look Is Here | Everything About Maruti's Innova Hycross | Price ?
Maruti Suzuki India Limited is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated hybrid MPV, the Invicto, which is based on the renowned Toyota Innova Hycross. The official release date is set for July 5th. However, prior to its grand unveiling, a few Invicto models have already made their way to Maruti Suzuki dealerships, and an intriguing image of an uncovered Invicto sitting at one of these dealerships has surfaced online.
The leaked images provide a comprehensive view of the Invicto's front, rear, and side profiles, revealing only minor design alterations that differentiate it from its Toyota counterpart.
The front grille maintains its fundamental shape, while incorporating two prominent chrome slats that extend into the headlights, accompanied by a distinct mesh pattern. The headlights themselves feature Nexa's signature three-point LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Additionally, the Invicto boasts an entirely revamped front bumper design, incorporating a new faux skid plate, devoid of fog lamps.
When observing the side profile, the most notable disparities between the Invicto and the Innova Hycross lie in the utilization of distinct alloy wheels and the absence of plastic cladding on the wheel arches. Interestingly, the design of these alloy wheels bears a striking resemblance to those found in the Toyota Fortuner Legender.
At the rear, the similarities between the two MPVs are striking, with the only discernible dissimilarity being the Invicto's adoption of Maruti's three-block design for the tail-lights. These lights feature enhanced black surrounds, providing a subtle smoked effect.
Moving inside the cabin, it is highly likely that the Invicto will retain the same dashboard layout as the outgoing Innova Hycross, without any significant changes. Most of the features present in the previous model are expected to be carried over as well. However, recent reports suggest that Maruti may opt to exclude or partially exclude the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) package from the Invicto lineup to maintain competitive pricing.
Unlike the Hycross, which offers two powertrain options, the Invicto is rumored to exclusively offer a hybrid unit. This hybrid powertrain combines a 184hp, 2.0-liter petrol engine with an electric motor, connected to an e-CVT gearbox.
In terms of competition, the Invicto will primarily compete against its Toyota sibling, as Kia recently discontinued its Carnival MPV in India. The pricing details for the Invicto will be disclosed on July 5th. For reference, the Hycross hybrid is currently priced between Rs 25.03 lakh and Rs 29.99 lakh.
