After "Unite the Right 2" ended extremely early due to rain and thunder, police escorted the group from Lafayette Park and rushed them into unmarked vans. The vans exited the White House grounds eastbound, but then crossed over into Virginia and left the group at Rosslyn Metro Station. Unlike their ride in, other passengers were on the train that picked them up, although the particular cars they loaded into were empty but for police and press.

No counter-demonstrators and only a handful of press made it to Vienna on time to confront the group, so the group was able to leave the city in their own vehicles uneventfully.
