Glen Eira Green Waste

Last Monday afternoon I went up around Bentleigh East to find some Glen Eira trucks. 2417 was one of the trucks I managed to find.

#2417 was filmed about twice before around 7 years ago. It was on the garbage run for most of its years until about 1 year ago it got switched to the green waste run. It was probably switched to collect green waste so then there’s more trucks for the new FOGO weekly change.

I found 2417 about 5 minutes after it started it’s 2nd load on Purtell street. This truck has a very fast arm and always flips lids. There’s only 1 camera on 2417 located on the back. The tailgate has been damaged quite a bit probably from hitting into trees.

The driver behind the wheel of this truck is a very nice driver and is related to the operator in #2419. This driver has always been in 2417 ever since he started which was about 18 months ago. He was still in 2417 when it was doing garbage too.

You can see a bit of Incab footage in between the video when there was a spillage. It does happen quite a lot too the green waste drivers since the grass and leaves get stuck inside the bin.
