Regional Security Perspectives

Описание к видео Regional Security Perspectives

This webinar was convened as the second plenary of the ICoCA Seventh Annual General Assembly, Dec 2, 2020.

What is the landscape of the private security sector around the world, and what can regional perspectives on responsible security that respect human rights and international humanitarian law tell us about global trends across the industry? Join a panel of experts bringing perspectives from different regions around the world. From the rise of Chinese private security along the Belt and Road Initiative, to the realities in Latin America, this session will explore the impact of international standards, regulatory mechanisms and legal frameworks and ask what’s really making a difference on the ground in these very different contexts.
