In short, you remove the plastic covers in the footwells (just pry the clips off along the seam and pull the plastic piece towards the seat. Then remove the console bolt on either side, and inside the console/armrest compartment, pry off the bottom cover and remove 2 more bolts. Pull up on the shift knob to disconnect it from the shift lever. Pry up on either side of the shifter and cupholder assembly to remove it. Disconnect the yellow and brown connectors on the shifter/seat assembly. Disconnect the white master connector below them. Disconnect the small blue and white connectors under the USB/Aux storage cubby/box. Then you can gently pull the entire console to the back while tilting the front upwards. It should all come out.

If you need to replace the shifter, cupholder, or seat heater buttons then you can just pry the panel up without removing the console. If you need to replace the armrest/console cover, you can replace them without removing the console. Same with the rear vents. But you need to remove the console to replace the USB/Aux cubby. It's difficult to remove the USB/Aux jacks from the cubby assembly - you can break off the faceplate clips and will have to glue it back on. So I recommend replacing the entire cubby assembly if the USB and Aux jacks fail.

Unlike the video, you don't need to remove the AVN/infotainment computer to access it. I only removed that because I needed to route extra wires for a bumper-mounted radar detector.
