This video documents a special day of historic trolleybus operation in Bratislava, featuring several iconic vehicle types that shaped urban electric transport in former Czechoslovakia and beyond. Filmed during a retro trolleybus event, the footage captures these vehicles in real street conditions, surrounded by modern traffic and contemporary city life.

Among the highlights is the Škoda 9Tr, one of the most influential trolleybus designs of the post-war era. Produced from the late 1950s, the 9Tr became synonymous with trolleybus systems across Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union, valued for its simple construction, durability, and distinctive rounded body. Its presence in Bratislava represents the early foundations of the city’s trolleybus network.

The video also features the Škoda 14Tr and its successor, the 15Tr, which marked a major step forward in capacity and performance. The 14Tr introduced a more modern boxy design and improved passenger comfort, while the 15Tr, with its articulated layout, became a backbone of high-capacity trolleybus lines in many cities. Both types are closely associated with the late socialist and post-socialist periods of urban transport development.

Completing the lineup is the Sanos 200Tr, a joint Czechoslovak–Yugoslav design that combined Škoda electrical equipment with a Sanos-built body. These trolleybuses stood out for their distinctive appearance and international origin, making them a rare and especially interesting sight today. Together, all featured vehicles offer a comprehensive cross-section of classic trolleybus evolution in Central Europe.
