Halmstad is an academic, industrial, and recreational city on the Swdedish west coast near the mouth of the Nissan River.
Halmstad is the capital of Halland County and is situated roughly halfway between Gothenburg, the country's second-most populous city and Malmö (the third).
Just outside the city is Tylösand which is a popular destination for alot of Swedes during the summer.
Tylösand is one of Sweden's most famous seaside resorts and is famous, among other things, for its more than 4 kilometers long sandy beach and for its golf course.
