This a common problem with this style chute. Most homeowners wrap it with tape and the repair only lasts for a little while and looks terrible. This is an easy permanent DIY repair that you can do with basic tools and materials.

At the time of this video posting I have used this repair for an entire mowing season and it never clogs and works flawless!
