After a period of constant expansion, the Rashidun Caliphate is at the precipice of the Civil War, as caliph Umar is assassinated by the rebels, and the caliph Ali is facing a strong opposition led by the forces of Muawiya and Aisha, leading to the first Muslim Civil War (First Fitna) and the battle of the Camel (Basra).
