Installing Gotoh SG381 tuners on an Encore Stratocaster style guitar

Here's my first installment of guitar videos, starting with an upgrade to my own Stratocaster copy from the ealy 90s made by Encore.

I've had this guitar 26 years, and have in the past it's had.. a refinish, a refret, a bridge pickup upgrade and an upgrade of the vol and tone pots. It's a great sounding and great playing guitar, with a lovely neck - but the tuners have always been a little iffy. Time to upgrade!!

In the video I will go through all the processes of installing the Gotoh tuners into a guitar of this type. You may find that you do not need to enlarge the holes in your headstock depending on what guitar you have. On mine, this was a necessary step to physically accomodate the tuners.

If you're interested in these tuners, they're Gotoh SG381-05 tuners. They have vintage style buttons as opposed to the 'SG381-07' tuners which have a more modern style of button. They look great, and are a great upgrade to the originals.
