Modded RAT Clone

A Rat Clone with mods.

Gibson Les Paul into an Epihpne Valve Jr. Amp.



Controls are: Feedback, Gain, Tone and Volume.

THREE DIFFERENT CLIPPING MODES:

Left toggle position: Classic Rat sound.

Right toggle position: LED clipping. The volume is increased and the sound is a little cruncher with added richness. This is the Turbo Rat sound.

Middle toggle position: Clean boost. Increased volume and a cleaner sound is obtained in this mode. With the volume up and the gain down this switch position works great as a solo boost or for driving an amp into overdrive.

RUETZ MOD:

The Ruetz mod turns the Rat into a low gain overdrive. The Ruetz mode has a more transparent sound with a flatter EQ response, lower gain and increased clarity. With this mod the Rat has the versatility to go from screaming fuzz tones to warm, low gain tones.

FEEDBACK LOOP:

The left footswitch activates the feedback loop which causes the Rat to oscillate and feedback.

9V adaptor socket. (Also runs on a 9V battery.)
