Up until now, we’ve been doing missions for the daughter of the matron of House Despana and while she’s a person who wields tremendous power, her mother has even more-so. We’ve proven ourselves to be reliable, powerful and obedient – or so Phaere thinks – and have earned her trust, so much as anyone can in drow society. The important part of this is what she believes we can help her and her mother with the grand plan that we’ve heard vague hints about during our time in Ust Natha, something which is pretty much guaranteed to involve the silver dragon eggs we’re trying to retrieve.

If you think that gaining an audience with Ardulace will mean we’re given another duty to perform, you’re absolutely right, but it also opens up a few other things that we can do in Ust Natha. We’re favoured by House Despana now and that gives us the authority to do things previously unavailable to us, as well as opening up a couple of other quests that we’ll want to look into. One of them is far more compulsory than the other but also far less rewarding. It’s also less dangerous, but when have we not been in huge danger during our stay in the Underdark?
