How to Create Dynamic Named Ranges in Excel
Now that you understand the named range (Here is it:    • What is Named Range & How to Use it in Excel  ), it’s time for dynamic named range. Dynamic name range is basically a dynamic list with a name. Usually, name range has specific data range that is kind or hard coded. If you add an item to that list you need to go to the name manager and update the named range source manually. But in Dynamic range you don’t need to do it. The name manager automatically updates the list. This is what you are about to learn in this tutorial.
The trick is to use the Offset and CountA (How to Use COUNTA Function in Excel:    • How to Use COUNTA Function in Excel  ) function combinedly in your name manager source.
You count all the cells with value inside your range and then pass it to the name manager with offset function. Then the name manger updates your named range thus making it fully automatic. That’s how you create dynamic named ranges.
