Introducing the Pixels-to-Points Tool in Global Mapper

Описание к видео Introducing the Pixels-to-Points Tool in Global Mapper

Introduced with the version 19 release of the Global Mapper LiDAR Module, the Pixels-to-Points tool creates a high-density 3D point cloud from an array of overlapping images, such as those collected by UAVs. Based on the principles of photogrammetry, the process identifies specific objects in multiple images and from multiple perspectives to generate the point cloud.

In this presentation, we walk through the steps for importing the individual images, assigning the necessary options and settings, and generating the point cloud. We also look at the process of detecting and reclassifying ground points as a prerequisite for creating a DTM.

Thanks to Fabricio Pondian and Blue Marble's representative in Brazil, Laurent Martin from EngeSat, for providing the UAV images used in this presentation.
