Ingredients:
1 ½ sticks unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt + more for the top
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips

When I think of my perfect chocolate chip cookie, I think chewy dough with crispy edges, dark chocolate, just slightly puffy, slightly underbaked and a hint of a toffee flavor from brown sugar and brown butter. If your dream chocolate chip cookie is anything like mine, then these cookies are the absolute PERFECT bite. I can’t wait for you to make them and fall in love with them like I have. I cannot have an entire batch of these in my house or they will be gone in a day and a half. Squish some vanilla ice cream in between, dunk them in some milk, or enjoy them on their own.
