30 Days to Healthy | Why I Only Buy Cage-Free Eggs

Описание к видео 30 Days to Healthy | Why I Only Buy Cage-Free Eggs

In almost every grocery haul I mention that I only buy cage-free eggs. This is something I started doing two years ago and feel very strongly about. So I wanted to explain why this is so important. Click "Show More" ↓

Today in the US you can buy eggs four different ways: regular (raised in cages), cage-free, free-range, and pasture-raised. When you watch all of the food documentaries about animal abuse, they almost always show you the caged chickens. These cages cause them to get sick, so they are constantly given antibiotics. And many places even give them growth hormones so your chicken can be bigger or lay more eggs.

That's why it's so important to only buy cage-free. The more we tell egg producers we won't support cages, the more they will begin to change the way they raise chickens. In this video I have a chart where I explain the difference (according to the HFAC) between cage-free, free-range, and pasture-raised. Buy whichever one is most important to you.

As with anything I recommend, do your own research and decide what's best for you. Buying cage-free is more expensive, so if it's not in your budget than that's OK.
