With the long cold nights ahead, nothing sounds better than a hot bath full of warm and comforting scents. Adding a fizzy bath bomb makes the relaxation time even better. Don’t even think about dropping money on a store-bought bomb filled with nasty, harmful chemicals. Instead, create your own with this DIY bath bomb Essential Oils recipe that will make you feel comfy and cozy inside – while allowing you to reap the benefits that come from these powerful Essential Oils!
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘇𝘆 𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝘀 :sparkles:
1/2 Cup Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Cornstarch
1/4 Cup Epsom Salts
1/4 Cup Citric Acid
1.5 tsp Water
2 tsp Sweet Almond Oil
4 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
3 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
3 drops Clove Essential Oil
2 drops Black Spruce Essential Oil
optional: 1-2 drops food color or Mica Powder
In a bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and whisk them together to get rid of clumps. In a glass measuring cup, mix all of the wet ingredients. Now comes the tricky part – very slowly whisk in the wet to the dry (do not rush or it will fizz). Once combined, it will still look powdery but use your hands to start squeezing it together. Fill each half of the mold on each side until slightly overflowing then press the mold closed. Carefully remove the other side of the mold and set out to dry overnight.
Alternatively, you can use muffin tins or silicone soap molds. There you have it – you’ve made your own bath bomb with Essential Oils! There is just one thing left to do – actually use the bath bombs you’ve worked so hard to create!
After running a hot bath, relax in the tub. Drop the dried bath bombs into the water and enjoy as it fizzes and releases the comfy cozy scent. Just be sure that before getting in the tub you set the mood – dim the lights, put on some music or a podcast, or even grab a book! Be sure you grab a glass of water, some tea, or even a snack to enjoy while you kick back in complete bliss.
