The ruling Mahayuti will get majority in Maharashtra assembly elections, as per two pollsters. However, the projects suggests that the ruling alliance is in tight contest with Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).

Maharashtra voted for the assembly elections in a single phase on Wednesday and the results will be out on November 23. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance is aiming to retain power, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is seeking an impactful comeback. Voting for all 288 seats began at 7 am and continued till 6 pm.

The voter turnout remained sluggish amid the controversy over bitcoin scam and cash distribution. While political campaigning stopped 48 hours before voting, it couldn’t silence political storms involving Nationalist Congress Party (SP)’s Supriya Sule, Congress’s Nana Patole, and BJP’s Vinod Tawde from brewing.
