In scorching heat, Punjab government employees staged a powerful sit-in in front of the Punjab Assembly under the leadership of AGIGA Chairman. Despite the extreme weather conditions, no member of the government or assembly came forward to address their genuine demands including Disparity Allowance, service structure reforms, and pay upgrades. The protest continued for hours until DSP and SHO arrived in the evening for negotiations and promised to convey the demands to higher authorities.
