Here's the first of the commissions I've been offering as a reward for some of my higher-tier patrons! For this track, I was asked to make something jazzy with contrapuntal elements, ideally using the Game Boy sound chip. This is my attempt, put together in Deflemask. This is a battle theme for an original character in the Pokemon universe, called Petra. The artistic rendering of her you see here is made by my girlfriend, Erin Moss.

Emily provides a little bit of context: "Rumors say that Petra Populus was the systems administrator at the Oreburgh City Mining Museum when she stole the institution's greatest discovery to date: a resurrected shiny anorith. Was she a criminal with good intentions, or no better than Team Rocket? Oreburgh's citizens won't give you any answers, but if you're lucky you might catch a glimpse of their infamous outcast chaining for shiny pokémon on Stark Mountain and have a chance to decide for yourself."
