On April 12, 2016, The American Law Institute held the 2016 Young Scholars Medal (now known as the Early Career Scholars Medal) Conference on the topic of “The Future of Aggregate Litigation.” The conference was organized by Early Career Scholar Elizabeth Chamblee Burch (UGA Law) and included four panel discussions on various topics in aggregate litigation. The keynote address of the conference is presented by ALI Council member Anthony J. Scirica (3rd Cir.), who discusses mass harms and aggregate litigation in the history of the U.S. legal system. Introductory remarks are provided by ALI Director Richard L. Revesz (NYU Law) and Deputy Director Stephanie A. Middleton.
