The iconic Dr. Peter Weller (Robocop) sits down for an interview to discuss his newest film, 'BANG', but naturally with such an amazing body of work, we have to discuss classics like 'Naked Lunch' and his take on the voice of Batman in 'The Dark Knight Returns'.

'Bang' (2025) is an action film about a hitman named Bang who, after a near-death experience, decides to leave his life of violence and seek forgiveness. However, his attempt to escape his criminal past puts him in the crosshairs of his former gang, leading to a violent confrontation.

The film is directed by Wych Kaosayananda and stars Jack Kesy (Hellboy) as Bang, Peter Weller as Morgan Cutter, and Tristin Mays.

Weller also has a book available for presale about the prodigy poet, playwright, architect, painter, and humanist savant Leon Battista Alberti. Alberti emerged in 1435 with De pictura ['On Painting'], the modern era's earliest discourse on Western art, written in classical Latin by an ostensible practitioner of the craft. Alberti has captivated the art world from his own epoch to ours, and his dubious Florentine identity enables this allure. In this volume, Peter Weller challenges the popular notion that De pictura's compendium on composition, narrative, and portraiture is primarily the result of Alberti's return to Florence and his short exposure to its visual art.

During the #interview, Weller and host Michael Winn Johnson have an academic discussion about Weller's thesis on the humanist Alberti, his new book, the Renaissance, what Weller considers to be 'required reading' when it comes to film, the comparison of Superman and Batman to Romulus and Remus, the existentialism of Cronenberg and much more.
