One day at a time. Sometimes that's all you can do. But other times, you have to push hard and make plans for the future. We can't wait around until we are out of feed to start calling farmers, we have to get in contact with them before haying season even starts. Despite our best efforts to ensure we had lined up feed well in advance, we have still been a bit blindsided by the severity of this drought. Ranchers are selling off even more cattle, the auction barns are going to be flooded with horses, and those that choose to feed their animals, are going to be taking a BIG hit financially.
