Story:
Hey there, little ones! Are you ready for a magical adventure in the Australian outback? Tonight, we're going to meet a very special friend. His name is Benny the Bilby, and he's about to have the most exciting night of his life!
As the sun sets and the stars twinkle in the sky, Benny wakes up from his cozy burrow. He stretches his long ears and wiggles his cute little nose. Benny is a nocturnal animal, which means he loves to explore when it's dark outside. Can you imagine what it's like to see in the dark? Benny's big eyes help him do just that!
With a hop and a skip, Benny sets off into the night. The cool sand feels soft under his tiny feet as he bounces along. He's on a mission to find some yummy treats and maybe make some new friends along the way.
As Benny hops through the bushes, he spots something shiny in the moonlight. It's a beautiful beetle! Benny's tummy rumbles, and he decides to have a little snack. Yum yum! Beetles are one of Benny's favorite foods. What's your favorite snack?
Suddenly, Benny hears a rustling sound nearby. His ears perk up, and he freezes in place. What could it be? Out of the shadows comes a friendly kangaroo named Kiki. "G'day, mate!" she says with a smile. Benny is so excited to meet a new friend!
Kiki invites Benny to join her for a moonlight hop. They bounce and play together, laughing and having the best time. Benny shows Kiki how he can dig super-fast with his strong claws, and Kiki teaches Benny how to do a silly dance. Can you hop like a bilby and a kangaroo?
As they play, Benny and Kiki stumble upon a patch of juicy berries. Their eyes light up with delight! They decide to have a berry-eating contest. Benny uses his long tongue to slurp up the berries, while Kiki picks them with her paws. Who do you think will win?
After their yummy berry feast, Benny and Kiki lie down on a soft patch of grass. They look up at the starry sky and make shapes out of the twinkling lights. Benny sees a star that looks just like a bilby, and Kiki finds one that reminds her of a boomerang.
As the night sky begins to lighten, Benny knows it's time to head home. He gives Kiki a big hug and promises to meet her again soon. With a happy heart and a full tummy, Benny hops back to his burrow, excited for all the adventures that tomorrow night will bring.
