Cannibal land: Wedding ceremony for a young hunter | SLICE

Rufinus is a young hunter. He belongs to the Asmat tribe, formerly known as cannibals and headhunters.

Although no headhunting has taken place on Asmat territory for 40 years, his grandfather, Ambros, wants to take the opportunity of his grandson's wedding to teach him the forgotten traditions of his people.

To show that he is a great hunter, Rufinus has to hunt two animals: the cassowary, a large land bird, and the cuscus, a small marsupial. After completing these two tasks, Rufinus prepares for his wedding. His uncle helps him make his first knife, proof that Rufinus is now considered by the tribe a great headhunter.
