A practice is any act put repeatedly into the time of your day (and therefore of your life: brief, concrete, intentional, repeatable.

The nine (9) practices for the (magical) Candidate.

PRACTICE ONE. Review the videos and their lessons thus far, especially videos 1 through 33. Listen to one video in the morning. Ponder it throughout your time of that day. Try to live the keys given. Smile.

PRACTICE TWO. Repeat to yourself in word and in thought: “I am safe, loved, worthy, powerful, and joyful. I accept my power to cause within the world. I am willing to be taught.”

PRACTICE THREE. Stand or sit still and give yourself a moment of trust—seconds will do. Trust yourself and trust the world. If that’s too much, imagine a tree and trust the tree. Trees are very trustworthy. As you continue to practice moments of trust throughout your days, later on you can add in moments of hearing. As you are still and as you’ve shifted into the trust, then add hearing. Simply be aware of whatever sound or energy or beings are surrounding you.

PRACTICE FOUR. Practice Magical Greeting as you go along in your day with all you encounter. Choosing this act is you actually employing a portion of the magical formula and becoming comfortable with it. Review Video 21 for how to live the Magical Greeting. You don’t always have to use your voice. You can use your thoughts and your heart. On the other hand, be generous with your voice. Remember, to allow yourself the space to hear a return greeting.

PRACTICE FIVE. From time to time, sing the following spell-song, as an aid to remembering within your body the vow of magic, which is to approach the earth and its children with honor and sacredness.
I WALK WITH CARE AND DELIGHT. I BLESS AND AM BLESSED.

PRACTICE SIX. Give yourself some sit down and imagination time regarding the choosing of your preferred art or arts. Sit quietly, jot some notes down of what is attracting you, affinities you may be feeling. Make notes about the master Magician you—what that looks like. Then make some connections about what arts might take you there.

PRACTICE SEVEN. Draw the sigil of the Magic Formula, shown here. Draw the sigil several times on different days. As you draw, repeat the following: “Cause-Converse-Come.”

PRACTICE EIGHT. If you haven’t already, choose a way of healing. Value yourself enough to make the choice to heal.

PRACTICE NINE. Use the full definition of magic to make a collage or some other kind of physical or digital art. If you would rather not do art, you can write out and repeat the definition, a few times on different days.
