Travel Vlog: Kirkfield Lift Lock, Trent-Severn Waterway, Ontario

Today, on our travels, we decided to see what was close to our cottage, and we happened across the Kirkfield Lift Lock, which is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway in Ontario. This waterway contains a series of locks designed for recreational boaters in south central Ontario. This particular lock is unique as it actually lifts boats into the air to move them along the canal. Unfortunately, this lock was closed for the season and under construction but we were able to get a good look at it and see the scope of its size and can imagine how amazing it would be to see it in action. We are about halfway through our vacation now,so their will be a few more travel vlogs before we continue with our traditional sheep farming vlogs. This has been our first days off from sheep farming in two years, so we are enjoying the break and exploring the area around our cottage in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, Canada.
