What is Google Fast Pair?

The Google Fast Pair utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy to discover and detect nearby Bluetooth device using Bluetooth data and location data to make the pairing process "easy and magical". Google Fast Pair will kick in during the initial pairing of the device and the subsequent pairings will happen seamlessly depending on the proximity of your device to your smartphone. Google Fast Pair supports devices with android version 6.0 and higher.



How is it useful and how to use it with realme Buds Air?

The realme Buds Air is among the devices that officially support Google Fast Pair. When you try and pair the realme Buds Air for the first time or when pairing it to a new device, your android smartphone will show you a pop-up that you can tap to connect instantly. This eliminates the need to even go to the Bluetooth settings and trying to find the realme Buds Air among the list of active Bluetooth devices. The addition of Google Fast Pair doesn't require from the user's end. For Google Fast Pair to run, the smartphone will need to run Android version 6 or higher and the location needs to be turned ON.



To use this feature, you can follow the following 4 simple steps:

Step 1: Turn on the Bluetooth on your smartphone

Step 2: Make the realme Buds Air discoverable by holding the button on the case for 3-5 seconds

Step 3: Tap the prompt on the top of the screen to pair the realme Buds Air with your smartphone. You will see a connecting prompt on the top

Step 4: After successful pairing, you will see the connected prompt
