Will it SMG? Episode 4 - The AK-47 Assault Rifle form Modern Warfare.

There is no AK-74U in MW for some reason, so this build basically tries to recreate that gun. Does it work as an SMG though? Yes, but there are niggles of course. It deals some good damage when landing the shots, but that isn't always easy as the recoil/control can be quite erratic at times so it limits it to much closer engagements ideally. If you have great recoil control then you can use it to push out for slightly longer range gunfights too, but my control sucks too much to allow that.

The main negative really is the 30 round mag size. Sure it fires faster with it, like an SMG should, but it is just slightly too small a mag to be truly effective. Even just a 40 round mag would probably make it far more viable for trying to take out more than one enemy quickly. Also, to make it as SMG-like as possible means no space for a suppressor, which given the noise it makes, means it is always leaving you on the mini-map.

A fun experiment of a weapon if nothing else.

NEXT UP - I don't know yet . . . . Not the M4, as I have found the SMG build of that infuriating to use so far.
