X-Men: Children of the Atom playthrough (Playstation) (1CC)

This port, which was only released in Europe and America, was released in 1998 -meaning it came after the Playstation ports of Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Vs. SF etc.

It has a lot of problems, with the animation being quite obviously cut down when compared to the arcade version. The endings also seem to have been cut -you only see part of them! Your character isn't shown escaping Avalon. Strangely the credits sequence will still play. In the arcade version, you only got to see the credits if you beat the game on one credit without losing any rounds, but in this version they seem to play even if you do lose a round.

The CPU is easier in places though, as with some opponents you can just stand there mashing fierce punch to do a laser blast, and they'll get hit by it a lot (like Storm). Magneto is still stupid difficult however.

This is the European version of the game, played on a PS2. I had planned to play it on my PS3, but this is the only PS1 game I've ever had which won't work on a PS3 -the screen keeps blanking out, and the then game crashes when trying to load the first fight.
