Over the course of the past 2 years, Cooke & Arkwright have been instructed to manage seven separate sites acquired in the South Wales region (Cardiff, Newport and the Gwent Valleys) by Starburst (UK) Limited in the food/retail park sector. This signifies a diversification for Starbust from a traditional industrial portfolio into the retail/food park sector. All acquisitions and asset management is carried out by Anthony Wardle of Sterling Real Estate Investment Management. Sterling and Cooke & Arkwright work closely together to ensure the asset management and day to day property management are carried out effectively. Ian Hyman, Associate Director in Cooke & Arkwright’s Property Management team said “It’s been great to work with Starburst and Anthony at Sterling Real Estate Investment. We work closely together to ensure the efficient running of the retail parks. Anthony deals with all aspects of asset management including acquisitions and strategic L&T matters while C&A deal with all rent collection, service charge administration, FM and act as a first point of call for Landlord and Tenant day to day matters.”

The video above shows a transformation at Blackwood Retail Park where a decoration project was undertaken managed by Sammi Johnston at Jones Hargreaves on the external façade of the building to improve the overall appearance of the site including painting/decoration the cladding, sign structures and front canopy. Other sites include North Court (High Street) Retail Park in Blackwood, City Link Retail Park in Cardiff, Newport West Food Park, Baglan Bay Retail Park, 374 Newport Road in Cardiff and a site at Blaina Road, Brynmawr.
